About Immodicus
We recognize that the history of a company is generally more important to the company than its clients. With this in mind this will be kept short and is, in fact, only included to establish that we’ve been around for some time and are stable and reliable. And yes, we really do exist in Houston unlike many of our “competitors” who may appear to be located in Houston but exist only on the internet. Come by anytime!
Immodicus began in 1993 as Media Inc., a floppy as a floppy disk duplicator. (Believe it or not we still get a request for floppy discs about once a year!) In 1995 we began to shift to CD-Recordable duplication services and in 1997 we were recognized by the Houston Business Journal as one of 100 Fastest Growing Businesses. New ownership and management took over in 2000 to further grow the company and take it to the next level. The name was changed to IMMODICUS (pronounced IM as in “Important” MOD as in “modern” and IC as in “magic” and US as in er well “us”. The name is Latin for beyond measure and expresses the hope that our service goes beyond your expectations, the type of service that make your life easier. “DVD duplication was added in 2004 and Flash (or Pen) Drive programming was added in 2006.
What may (we hope) be of more value to you is what we do. We duplicate CDs and DVDs in any quantity from 1 (yes, we’ve done just one) to hundreds of thousands. We also assist our clients with the graphics (disc “decoration”) that go on the CD or DVD so that the art achieves the client’s purpose. We offer programming services so that clients who have files (of whatever type) that needs to be developed into a presentation, catalog or other marketing or internal interactive communications tool. In this respect we are very careful not to “oversell” our capabilities. Should your needs exceed our capabilities we will happily refer you to one of the many advertising, graphic design or marketing firms that regularly send us business.
Packaging, assembly and fulfillment are also big parts of what we are. You may never see as many types of packaging for CDs and DVDs as you will if you visit our office. We encourage you to do so. Packaging is after all the “sizzle” that your marketing needs because everyone really does judge a book (or CD) by its cover. And once your product is packaged and ready to go you can rely on us to send it out on time. We daily ship worldwide to places so remote that you’ve never heard of them.
Note that we recognize that in the entire history of mankind there has never been a place as full of hype as the internet. Come by or give us a call. We’re ready to prove what we say!
